Robin Goldsmith (Chairman)
I was born and brought up in Kenya to which my grandfather had emigrated in 1913. I went to the Prince of Wales School and then attended the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. I was commissioned into the 17th/21st Lancers in December 1969. Family circumstances meant I became a civilian late in 1988, and then worked in electronic security. I came to Broadway in 2015 to be with Moira, who I had known for thirty years. Since, I have completed a history degree with the Open University and am now writing a book on the Royal Flying Corp’s role in the ground battles of the Western Front in the First World War. I have five children and ten grandchildren.

I am married with two daughters, have lived in Broadway for 3 years prior to which we lived in Stourbridge for 35 years. Tom Morris
I have lived in Broadway all my life. My father Oliver John Morris was an early forming member of the Broadway Trust and his keen interest in the environment and the visual attractiveness of the village were influential in my future choice of career. I attended Evesham High School and studied town planning at Oxford Brooke’s University. I then worked for both Cheltenham Borough Council and Oxford City Council. I formally retired three months ago. My interests include sport and in particular cycling and golf, although in the case of the latter still very much ‘work in progress.’ I enjoy singing and recently joined the Broadway Community Choir and Chipping Campden Chorus. In retirement I hope to improve my sketching and photography skills and spend more time on my allotment at Weston-Subedge. I am married to Judith and have two step-children, Sammy and Rob, together with a step-grandson Harry. I share the aims of the Broadway Trust and the desire to preserve the architectural and historic legacy of the village and its setting. These characteristics help to define and shape Broadway, making it a vibrant place for residents, visitors and those working in local businesses.

Michael de Navarro KC
I am still in practice as a Barrister. I was born in the house in Broadway in which I still live and am the third generation of my family to live there. Since returning to Broadway after my mother’s death, I have served as President of Broadway Cricket Club and trustee of Longborough Festival Opera and the Broadway Arts Festival. My late wife, Jill, was a trustee of the Lifford Hall for over 20 years. I have a long-standing connection with the Broadway Trust of which my mother was one of the founding spirits and Secretary. My interests include gardening, opera, cooking and cricket. I am keen that the Trust should serve all sections of the community in Broadway.

James Peace
I come from a veterinary and farming background and have pursued a career in agricultural merchanting, and still run a small business locally, Peace Seeds. I have lived locally since 1984 and moved into Broadway in 2002. I think that the Broadway Trust can really help maintain the traditional values of the village, both from its agricultural and cultural history.
